For what you are doing, you need a remote shutter release that is wireless ... that usually means some kind of IR remote. The longest range I have found is 100 meters.
You will notice that the links below are for DSLR's, something you will not want to have flying in the air.
I have a remote for one of my P%26amp;S cameras, but it is a wire remote with a 4 foot connector ... not much help
