Where can I find a replacement remote control for a 1970's era Sears garage door opener? (139.654020 model)?

We lost the car remote control to this great garage door opener and want to buy a replacement. The unit is, we believe, from the late 70's and is a '; Sears garage door opener'; model # 139.654020. the reciever is black with simulated wood trim and has a thick wire antenna on top of it.

I contacted a couple online remote sellers and was told I needed to use a universal rewire type kit that has the receiver plugged into an outlet. This isnt an option for us unfortunately because we have no outlets even remotely close to where our current reciever is.

After further research, it appears that these old Sears remotes were all pretty much the same but were renamed and renumbered by several sources over the years. Im hoping we can find one that will work with our system, although may not have the exact same model number.

Thank you in advance for any help finding a working remote. I opener works great and I really dont want to have to replace the whole system for a missing remote.Where can I find a replacement remote control for a 1970's era Sears garage door opener? (139.654020 model)?
have you thought about putting in a junction box where the door opener is wired in,that should solve your problem as far as being able to install a new receiver, remember the door opener has to have power in order to work, and doing this will help
