It is well thought out balance that has made it work, not blind adherence to anything like communist manifestos or worship of a mythical ';invisible hand'; of the free market. Socialism is a more advanced and efficient way to handle human needs.





Free market is based on the law of the jungle. Socialism recognizes basic human needs and tries to administer them in the most efficient way possible.

America did not become a full fledge economic and military super power until FDR and the New Deal Democrats.





If you look at the percent change in GDP for each president, you will see that in general the economy grows fastest under Democrats. That is 100% true. Look up the Bureau of Economic Analyses. They keep historical data on GDP.
Capitalist free market led to the collapse of the banking/mortgage industries, the bailouts, and stimulus plans.





Capitalism can work, if regulations are in place to protect people. Our economy does not have to be based on socialism.
